From the Pet Store to the Puppy Expo:
Living with God's Timing for Your Life

God's timing is the only timing that will do! That's the lesson Mindy learned the hard way as she spent 20 years after college trying to become a published novelist—and encountered more than her fair share of amusing challenges and roadblocks along the way. Now with the 20/20 vision of hindsight, Mindy shares how God used that time perfectly and how patience, diligence, and trust are the necessary ingredients for success in God's eyes. Your group will laugh and cry as Mindy shares this uplifting message, perfect for church groups both small and large.

The Invisible Gifts:
The Body of Christ is More than Just Hands and Faces

Perfect for an installation ceremony, service membership drive, or volunteer gala, this talk celebrates the entire body of Christ—not just the most visible parts. With deep conviction, Mindy shares the experience of possessing what she calls the "visible gifts" and her dismay at the unsung heroes of those whose gifts are far less noticeable, though no less important. This talk encourages everyone to look with fresh eyes both inward (to discover unexpected new gifts) and outward (to notice and acknowledge others' gifts). Everyone will be blessed as Mindy reveals and affirms God's plan for each member of the body.

How to Have a House That Cleans Itself

Adventures in Research:
How I Learned Cons at the Carnival, Combed the Swamps for Poison, and Came Home with a Bucket of Sapphires

In this fast-paced, fun talk, Mindy shares some fascinating and hilarious stories from her experiences doing research for her mystery novels. With God's help, she has been able to go to all sorts of places in her imagination and her stories—and now she'll take your group along for the ride as well. This talk is perfect for light-hearted gatherings where laughter and fellowship is key.

Christian Entertainment:
What's Wrong, What's Right, What's Important, and Why it Matters

Between Christian fiction, Christian-themed movies, and even Christian video games, the entertainment choices for those with a Christian worldview are expanding exponentially. In this interactive session, Mindy discusses the importance of Christian-themed options in the marketplace, how these options are touching lives, and where improvement is still needed. Your group will find much to consider in this fun and provocative look at entertainment "in the world but not of the world." Perfect for a women's group, media team gathering, or celebration of the arts.

In order to reserve most of her time for her family and for writing her novels, Mindy limits her out-of-town speaking engagements. Locally, however, she is available for many additional dates, and she even provides incentives for local bookings, as follows:
  • Promo posters—If your facility is within a 60 mile radius of Valley Forge, PA, be sure to contact Mindy about borrowing her jumbo-sized book cover posters to promote your upcoming event. Mindy has large (most are approximately 2' X 3'), professional, mounted images of her book covers, which she will gladly loan to you up to four weeks prior to your event and take back once the event is over.
  • Book Clubs—If your book club will be meeting within 20 miles of Valley Forge, PA, and your group is reading one of Mindy's books, contact Mindy to see if she is available to come to your meeting. Rather than giving a prepared talk, Mindy will simply conduct a fun Question & Answer session, after which she will gladly autograph books. If your club has at least 10 members, she will also hold a contest on the spot and give away prizes.
  • Massage Therapy—If your church or civic group would like to provide 10- or 15-minute chair massages as a bonus features of their women's event, Mindy is pleased to offer the discounted services of her friend (and personal masseuse) Traci Hall, CMT, ABMP, when combined with a speaking appearance by Mindy. Events must be within 50 miles of Lansdale, PA, and arranged at the time of booking the speaking engagement. More information will be coming soon!

Intros for Mindy

"How should I introduce you?" is a common question Mindy hears often in relation to speaking events. The following info, therefore, is provided here for your convenience. Feel free to use either of these introductions or come up with one of your own.

A Brief, Just-the-Facts Introduction for Mindy
Mindy Starns Clark is the bestselling author of the "Million Dollar Mysteries" series and the "Smart Chick Mystery" series, as well as the nonfiction how-to book The House That Cleans Itself. A singer and former stand-up comedian, Mindy is also a popular inspirational speaker and playwright. She lives near Valley Forge, PA, with her husband, two teenage daughters, and two shih tzus. Welcome, please, author Mindy Starns Clark.

A Longer, More Humorous Introduction for Mindy
Mindy was born and raised in Louisiana but moved northward, for the sake of love, in 1987, only to learn that Pennsylvania has four distinct seasons: cold, snow, cold, and summer.

Since college, Mindy worked a variety of jobs while trying to succeed as a writer, including: travel agent, professional singer, floral delivery girl, and stand up comedian.

Mindy's first novel came out in 2001, and she's been publishing steadily with one or two new books released each year since. Mindy has also written a number of plays and musicals, a wide variety of articles, short stories, and poems, several textbooks, and over 75 computer software manuals.

Mindy and her husband John now live near Valley Forge, PA, with two teenage daughters, which means that most of the time she feels like a cross between an ATM machine and a taxi driver.

Between mothering two great kids, being married to her best friend, and writing novels full time, Mindy now says that her greatest dreams have all come true—though she could do without the cold, snow, and cold.

Welcome, please, author Mindy Starns Clark.
